Dr. David Doman received his Bachelors of Engineering from Villanova University, Pennsylvania in 1997 and served for 4 years in the US Marine Corps before attending medical school. He was awarded a Health Professions Scholarship from the US Army and graduated from Dartmouth Medical School, New Hampshire in 2006. He was assigned to Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, Texas where he completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery in 2011. He spent eight years serving the soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky with a focus in Sports Medicine and Hip & Knee Replacement. He then completed his fellowship training in Hip & Knee Replacement at Indiana University, Indiana. From there, he was assigned to Fort Gordon, Georgia as the Chief of Hip & Knee Arthroplasty. During his twenty years in the US military, Dr. Doman has deployed overseas four times and achieved the rank of Colonel. He and his family are happy to now call Georgia home. David and Jennifer Doman have been married since 1997 and have five children.
Dr. Doman has experience treating a wide range of complex orthopedic conditions, and has published in multiple peer-reviewed publications. His practice encompasses general orthopedics, with a specialty interest in Hip and Knee Replacement and Sports Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip & Knee Surgeons, the Society of Military Orthopedic Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
