Dr. Cope
Dr. Cope previously served as Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where she also directed the Pain Medicine Fellowship Program. Throughout her career, she has trained more than 120 pain medicine fellows, helping to shape the next generation of specialists.
Her distinguished career includes numerous peer-reviewed publications, textbook contributions, and invited lectures at national medical conferences. In recognition of her exceptional service to the specialty, she received the prestigious Distinguished Service Award from the Academy of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Cope has also served in leadership roles with the American Society of Anesthesiologists, as a Past Board Examiner, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Wood Library-Museum of Anesthesiology.
Most importantly, Dr. Cope is dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based care to help patients regain function, improve their quality of life, and achieve lasting pain relief.
